What Does a Rivet Do?

Fasteners used to connect more than one piece together are called rivets.

It is also called blind rivet because it is not necessary to reach and see the back of the materials to be joined during riveting with pop rivets. The parts that make up the rivet are as follows:
The standard Pop rivet basically consists of an aluminum body and a steel nail. The production of a quality rivet must be done by emptying the inside of the body with the method of spinning from special alloy aluminum wires.
During riveting: the pop rivet nail is inserted into the rivet gun; pop rivets are inserted into a hole of suitable diameter drilled into the materials to be joined; The pop rivet gun is tightened. During the tightening process, the nail at the back inflates the body by passing through the body and breaks off at the point where it cannot inflate, completing the assembly process.

How to Use Rivet

During the riveting process: the rivet nail is inserted into the riveting gun;  rivets are placed in a hole of suitable diameter drilled into the materials to be joined  ; the rivet gun is tightened. During the tightening process, the nail at the back inflates the body by passing through the body and breaks off at the point where it cannot inflate, completing the assembly process.

How to Remove Rivet?

How to remove the rivet: In some cases, such as material modification or material replacement, the rivet may need to be removed. In order to remove an assembled rivet, the rivet head is weakened with a metal drill bit, preferably with the diameter of the rivet to be removed (the hole is not drilled until the end). Then, the rivet head is removed with the help of a punch and the rear part of the rivet body is pushed back with the help of a punch. After the necessary operations are done, the rivets are tightened again.
